The sudden Coerthan blizzard took the lone adventurer by surprise. He had been on his way to Whitebrim Front from Mor Dhona. He knew he was close to Danifen Pass and that if he could make it there he could at least shelter from the storm. The storm picked up in intensity as the man trudged on causing him increasing concern on if he would even make it to the pass at this rate. It was then at the peak of his concern that he noticed something just a head of him in, the glow of a lantern, just bright enough to pierce the heavily falling snow. He began to make out the shape of a door as he drew closer towards the light until he was finally at the door. With a glance up he was able to see the sign hanging from the door."The Wandering Door?" He read allowed. This was just a door though, no tavern to be seen at all. A great sense of curiosity hit him and so he pulled open the heavy oak door and stepped over the threshold without hesitation.The smell of roasting chicken and the low sound of chatter and occasional laughter filled the air hit him first as his eyes adjusted to the light. The sight that lay before him left him in shock and wonder though as the people that sat around the tavern were clearly not all visitors of the cold northern climbs of the central highlands. He wasn't given much time to ruminate on the odd assortment of company that filled the building as a short purple haired Miqo'te placed herself directly in front of him "Oh you poor lad. Let's get you something to warm you up." She'd say to him as she dusted the snow from his shoulders and guided him to the bar.Before long the man decided it was time to move on and finish his journey. Surely the blizzard had stopped after hours spent eating and making all sorts of new and strange acquaintances. He made his way to the door and was bid farewell by the purple haired Miqo'te that had first greeted him. He gave the door a push and stepped out into the blinding white light. When his eyes had finished adjusting to the sudden change in light he found himself standing just outside of Whitebrim. He staggered back out of shock, one hand reaching out to catch himself on the door of the tavern only to find himself falling into the snow as the door was no longer there. The only hint of its existence was the the line on either side of him where the door had been, though the falling snow was beginning to erase even that trace.

The Wandering Door isn't your run of the mill tavern. The building itself can be found within the Mist to the right of the Mistgate entrance, however should you find yourself looking for a warm meal, a place to take shelter for a spell, or to lay your head down for the night, then you may just so happen to stumble upon a door that leads you straight into the tavern. Come on by and give us a visit, or should you perchance to stumble upon a door during your adventures that seems a little out of place, let your curiosity get the best of you and open it as it may just lead you to us.

We are a safe for work and lalafell friendly role-play venue. Aside from role-play, we also provide live bard music, as well as black jack. Our venue is ICly open 24/7 on the days that our PC staff are not there.

Even in a SFW venue, consent is still key. If another guest catches your attention and you wish to engage with them, shoot them a tell or ask them in character if they mind if you sit down for a chat with them. We do have patrons that come in from time to time that are merely there to chill out and listen to the bard tunes and have no interest in engaging in role-play with others.✼ Keep things clean-ish.
The Wandering Door is a SFW venue that welcomes all players seeking a place to RP, be they veterans or new comers alike. As such, there is the chance that folks younger than 18 could be getting into the role-play scene. Thus, please keep suggestive innuendos to tells and out of say chat.✼ No nudity please.
Again, SFW venue means no showing off the ol' bits and bobs. If you intend to relax in the baths located in the basement, please have on a swimsuit that keeps your character looking modest, or at the bare minimum use vanilla small clothes to keep things covered up.✼ Racism, sexism, homophobia is not permitted.
Regardless of whether you're playing your character to have a prejudice against other races, for example. Hate Speech of all shades will result in punitive action to be decided by the management team.✼ Please avoid using shout/yell chat within reason.
Shout and yell chat is typically reserved for staff to inform visitors of specific events, or information regarding open hours. However, should there be a logical reason for a character to yell in character, this will be allowed. I.e: The character is about to head out, but a companion of theirs is on another floor of the tavern and they're choosing not to make the trek up/down the stairs, resulting in the need to yell out to their companion that they're leaving.✼ For our friendly Beastmasters that choose to drop by the tavern.
As exciting and long awaited as the class has been for most people, We humbly ask that before entering tavern, you "stable" your tames. Those of you clambering through the door after coming across it in the wild will be asked to take it to the stable outside, which becomes "accessible" after coming through the door from wherever the traveler was prior to entering.✼ Entering Rooms
In regards to rooms. If a room is marked "Visitor's Welcome" all patrons are free to use the room as needed. Room's without this tag require you to see one of the managers about renting for the evening. We ask that you do not go "room hopping" to explore them as a consideration to other guests who might be using them at the time. Also, bear in mind that anything happening behind closed doors is no longer something that the staff can moderate.

Room Rentals

We currently have three rooms within the tavern proper that may be rented during your visit. We ask that the RP withinour clinic be kept within the SFW limits of the tavern. NSFW RP is allowed within the private rooms, keep in mind that staff cannot moderate what happens in these rooms however.

Clinic: Open to the general public. Private room for the Night: 50,000 gil an hour.
